Nintendo of Europe is hosting a sale on the eShop to mark this year's iDÉAME conference.  iDÉAME is a conference for young developers, taking place in Madrid from April 13 to 14.  All of the recent news about Disney Interactive has been related to layoffs,studioclosures, and in general, disappointment. Or Disney Infinity, which has appeared to be the exclusive focus of the division all year.
But Disney Interactive has a second game in the works. A game based onDisney's Planes, the Disney-produced, formerly straight-to-DVD spinoff of Cars, will be released on Wii U, Wii, 3DS, and DS on August 6, three days before the movie is released.
"The game will expand beyond the storyline of the Disney's Planes film," Nintendo reveals, "offering players the opportunity to enjoy the thrill of flight as one of the popular characters from the film."

The next 12 months will be amongst the biggest in Pokémon history, says The Pokémon Company.
The firm is gearing up to launch multiple new games, a new TV series, events, a film and new toys throughout 2013, all climaxing in the launch of Pokémon X and Y on 3DS this October: the first ever worldwide release of a major Pokémon game.
The firm also says it has ‘cleared the decks’ in terms of licensing, and Tomy International has been brought onboard to ensure that everyone around the world gets the same toys as the ones out in Japan.
“Undoubtedly 2013 is a key year for us to grow and usher in a new era for Pokémon with Pokémon X and Pokémon Y and the introduction of new characters as the launch platform,” The Pokémon Company International’s marketing director Anthony Cornish told MCV.
“We believe these games will appeal to all generations both veterans and newcomers to Pokémon.”
But before the launch of X and Y, Nintendo will release Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity in Europe on Friday, May 17th. And the firm will this month launch a Skylanders-style toy/game hybrid called Pokémon Rumble U in Japan, although there’s currently no word on a European release yet.

Nintendo has announced a delay for its new Brain Training game, just days before its expected release date.3DS puzzler Dr Kawashima's Devilish Brain Training: Can You Stay Focused? was due to launch in Europe this Friday, 12th April.The game has now been pushed back to an unspecified later date, Nintendo confirmed today."Nintendo has made the decision to push back the launch date of Dr Kawashima's Devilish Brain Training: Can You Stay Focused? for Nintendo 3DS to optimise the best possible launch timing of this title within the European market," a company spokesperson toldNintendo Life."We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and we hope to announce a new launch date soon."GAME has updated its product page for the game with a new September release window.The 3DS is currently experiencing a flurry of big releases, including Luigi's Mansion 2, Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate and Fire Emblem: Awakening, with Animal Crossing: New Leaf on the horizon.

Nintendo has revealed that the 3DS version of Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D will contain new content not in the Wii original.  As before, each level will contain letter collectibles that spell K-O-N-G. Collecting all of these along with puzzle pieces hidden in each stage and you will unlock 'extra content' like the more challenging Trophy levels.Beat every Trophy level and Nintendo says a "brand new surprise awaits".The 3DS version will also have a new 'easier' option for less experienced gamers that will give the Kongs three hearts instead of two. You'll also be able to spend Banana Coins on items from Cranky Kong to "help save you from falls, allow the Mine Cart and Rocket Barrel to take a second hit, and even let you use a DK Barrel whenever you like."Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D will release on 3DS in Europe on May 24, Nintendo confirmed recently.We gave the Wii original an 8.8/10 score in a praising review in which we called it "an impressive, worthy successor to the classic Super NES series".

Nintendo of Europe boss Satoru Shibata has apologised to UK consumers forMonster Hunter 3 Ultimate shortages.  Posting on the Nintendo UK Twitter account, the executive said: "I'd like to apologise for the current stock shortage due to high demand of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate at retail."New #MH3U stock will hopefully be available in shops next week for Wii U and mid April for Nintendo 3DS."Shibata added: "Both versions of #MH3U are also available on Nintendo eShop. Again, I sincerely apologise for causing any inconvenience."Along with heavy hardware price discounts, Monster Hunter Ultimate 3 was recently cited as a key factor in improved Wii U sales.Nintendo of Europe launched Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Wii U and 3DS XL hardware bundlesalongside the standalone game on March 22.

It's designed to rectify problems some users have been experiencing since downloading last month's 3DS system update 5.0.0-11U, which prevented those affected from accessing the System Settings or other features."Some users received an error during the system update and were then unable to access the System Settings, Nintendo eShop, or Game Notes," Nintendo says."This update prevents this from occurring again. If you are currently experiencing this error, pleaseclick here for related troubleshooting."March's update introduced eShop improvements, including the ability to download software update data in the background.Earlier this week, Nintendo also released two Wii U Miiverse updates designed to the improve user experience.

It'll take Etrian Odyssey 4: Legends of the Titan a bit longer than expected to reach Europe, after NIS America pushed back its release window to this summer. It was expected this spring, but with the season dwindling fast, the Atlus-developed RPG won't hit European retailers or the 3DS eShop until summertime. NIS America says a demo which includes two dungeons is coming to the eShop beforehand, which to us sounds like the same demo North America received.
Etrian Odyssey's return to Europe - the first game released on the continent but the second and third ones did not - marks, according to JRPG guru Kat Bailey, the series finally becoming recommendable to mainstream players;Etrian Odyssey 4 hauled a sweet four stars in our review.

A few months ago we told you about a hacker named Neimod working on the hack of the 3DS. It has already accomplished a monumental task in order to identify possible flaws but nothing concrete has emerged so far. 3dbrew The site, known to be frequented by many hackers whose Neimod , warns us against the new update deployed by Nintendo on the 3DS.

To summarize, the author says that even if your linker work on this new version, some vulnerabilities are patched by the update, and closing the door to homebrew. Though nothing has been revealed so far, this leaves assume that several vulnerabilities have been discovered in the firmware 4.5.0-10 by hackers, that would give a little hope to those who are expecting a softmod their console.

 Nintendo's new eShop prepaid cards aren't just used to purchase content on 3DS, they also are content on 3DS. Nintendo is releasing a series of Mario-themed eShop cards, that also work as AR cards with a new Mario photo app made by the Galaxy/Super Mario 3D Land team.
Each denomination comes on a card representing one of two characters: ¥1,000 Goomba or Koopa cards, ¥2,000 Mario or Luigi, or ¥3,000 Bowser or Peach. The 3D models generated by the app show up in photos based on where the cards are placed, just like other photos done with AR cards, and can be posed in different positions and with added effects. Like the Kid Icarus AR Cards, two characters will interact with one another when placed together.
Nintendo of America has yet to make any announcements, of either the cards or the Photo Together Super Mario app. We recommend waiting – you don't want to buy eShop credit you can't use, just to interact with an app you can't download.

Shin Megami Tensei 4, the first new numbered MegaTen game in nearly a decade, is coming to North American 3DSs this summer both as a retail title and digital eShop download, publisher Atlus has announced.This latest entry in the series revolves around a group of samurai fighting demons. As with other games in the series, demons can be recruited to fight alongside you and this fourth entry will feature over 400 of the buggers along with StreetPass functionality and fully voiced dialogue. As with 2003's Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne (released in 2005 as Lucifer's Call in Europe), Shin Megami Tensei 4 will feature the turn-based "Press Turn" combat system in which exploiting an enemy's weakness can result in extra turns.Sadly, no European release has been announced, but given that the game is digitally distributed it seems especially likely that it will make the leap across the pond.

Elementary school age boys target of cross-media blitz for Gaist Crusher; 3DS game will feature anime, toy, music, and manga tie-ins

With the Mega Man series effectively mothballed in recent years, Capcom has a child-sized gap in its portfolio. The publisher is looking to fill that gap this year, as today it announced a new intellectual property aimed at elementary school age boys, Gaist Crusher.
Gaist Crusher will debut as a 3DS game with a bevy of supporting tie-in projects. The game will see an anime project from the studio behind Naruto and Bleach, Pierrot Co., Ltd. It will also see a line of toys from Bandai, manga series in Saikyo Jump and V Jump, and music produced by Avex Entertainment.
Described by Capcom as a "custom armor action" game, Gaist Crusher is intended to combine the outfit's experience making Mega Man content for kids with the multiplayer focus of its Monster Hunter franchise.
"With the number of children in Japan declining, Capcom plans to use this project to attract interest in new brands and firmly establish these brands by continuously launching a diverse range of content," according to the publisher.
Gaist Crusher for the 3DS is set to launch this winter.

Game Freak's HarmoKnight debuts on the 3DS eShop. Game Freak rarely diverges from its main business, Pokémon, so this is a rare chance to see the developer's production values and expertise applied to something other than an RPG about collecting all the world's flora and fauna into sealed containers.
